Nintendo switch: yes or no?

Finally ! After we have been waiting for months and hundreds of rumors about his "project NX", Nintendo has finally released the Switch, its new portable, but lounge, but also nomadic, but also plugs into a TV. So this is the opportunity for us to lay our hands on the latest concept of the Japanese firm in video games, which is highly anticipated after the relative commercial failure of its Wii U.

5 reasons to Switch or not

Yes - Because the transition from the console to the TV works well

This is the principle of the Switch: both a portable console and a living room console thanks to its dock supplied in the box, and which allows to connect it to a TV, the new device of Nintendo plays on both fields. The principle sold by Nintendo is simple: you start a game on your TV, and when you leave, instead of stopping your game to resume it once you get home, you simply take the console with you by removing it from its dock. The game is then transferred to the 6-inch screen of the console and a few seconds later, you can continue playing as if nothing had happened.

Yes - Because interface is an -almost- true online

The interface of the console, without being revolutionary, is rather pleasant, and reasonably well thought. Nintendo has avoided the multiplication of complex menus sticking to a minimum of simplicity and appreciable readability.

No - For limited autonomyThe Switch has a battery of 4130 mAh, correct but not frankly exceptional, especially considering the power requirements of the console in portable mode. There are no real surprises in the tests: we barely exceed the 3 hours of autonomy by playing Zelda in portable mode with a headset plugged and the brightness to three quarters. It is enough to keep you buzy at the toilet or at the dentist, but obviously too short for a train or plane.

No - Because there is not many gamesIt's a classic for the Nintendo consoles: hardly released, the Switch already shows a lack of original games to justify its purchase. The first title of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a masterpiece, but the other titles will not make all players so enthusiastic, and these are not the few  Neo Geo games (KoF 98, Metal Slug 3, Shock Troopers, etc.) that will make gamers buy the Switch.
